Tabernacle

The Tabernacle was heavily damaged by the Teton Dam Flood, and the LDS Church was considering having it torn down. Instead, it was sold to the City of Rexburg. A huge remodeling program in the early 1980's brought about the opening of the Teton Flood Museum in the summer of 1982.

Through donations, memberships, and county support, the museum has expanded each year with new exhibits and a first class local history library.
It was named the Teton Flood Museum because of the extensive collection of memorabilia connected to the flood that are on display. All the films of the flood have been collected and are available for the public to view.

The museum is a part of the Upper Snake River Valley Historical Society and its offices are located there. The upstairs of the building is used as a civic auditorium by the City of Rexburg. The grounds have picnic tables for public use and the city maintains the grounds as part of its park system.

This is a great place for an evening out together as a family.
