Youth Culture
Youth Culture
One of the most successful events of the Idaho International Dance and Music Festival is the opportunity given to the youth of the valley to meet with the dancers in an educational forum.
Free Youth Culture activities are provided to young people of this area, ages 6-16,with the opportunity for them to mingle with the dancers and learn dance steps, their music, the meaning of their costumes, and the cultures of various countries. Festival passports provide space for each participant to obtain autographs from individual dancers. These young people are also able to obtain free tickets to attend up to 35 different sections of dance class. To make sure the dancers and the young patrons have a great experience, classes are restricted to 40 people per session. Youth Culture is a free activity but tickets must be obtained to participate.
